The Last Shadow Puppets Plot First Tour
When the Last Shadow Puppets go on tour, they go on tour in style. The pretty nifty new orchestral pop act from Arctic Monkey Alex Turner and Rascal Miles Kane have giant ambitions for their first trek ever.
The Puppets—whose fine debut, The Age of the Understatement, is out now-- will embark on their first proper tour through the late summer and early fall, with two brief UK runs sandwiching a European trek, followed by a pair of Stateside dates as a cherry on this particular syrup-drenched sundae.
Turner and Kane will be joined not only by a 16-piece orchestra on the outing but by drummer/Understatement producer/Simian Mobile Disco guy James Ford. Arctic Monkeys + Simian Mobile Disco + tour dates = more pun than even we can handle.
