Joanna Newsom Lines Up More Shows, One Orchestral

It seems as if the only live shows Joanna Newsom plays anymore are orchestral. She tasted the sweet nectar of symphony, and her taste buds were forever changed. Well not forever, since her next two shows will be without an orchestral backing.

Both shows take place in London on July 20, the first as part of the Latitude Festival and the second at Somerset House with the Red Krayola opening.

Newsom will return to her symphonic comfort zone on August 22, when she appears with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at their Symphony Center home. In the first half of the performance, she'll play songs from Ys with the CSO, and the second half will feature just Newsom and her band.

Joanna Newsom:

07-20 London, England - Latitude Festival
07-20 London, England - Somerset House *
08-22 Chicago, IL - Symphony Center (with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra)

* with the Red Krayola
