Maria Taylor's Gear Stolen in San Francisco

Earlier this week, some lousy person went and rummaged through the tour van belonging to Saddle Creek chanteuse Maria Taylor without her permission, grabbing six guitars (including one hand-painted number), two suitcases, pedals, and a bunch of merch as he/she went. Truly lame.

Anyway, Maria and company are trying to get the word out to the 415 that they'd really like the stuff back, and expect it to possibly turn up in pawn shops around the area. "As you can imagine," a Saddle Creek rep writes, "this gear has lots of sentimental value as well." Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the label at info@saddle-creek.com

Still, the show must go on, and Maria will perform a couple dates over the weekend with the help of some borrowed gear.

Taylor recently issued a self-released acoustic EP, Savannah Drive, to iTunes, which she crafted with the help of Now It's Overhead's Andy LeMaster.
