Parts & Labor Reveal Details of Listener Supported LP4
Back in the spring, you may have filled out a little audio survey from Brooklyn's Parts & Labor. Well, the results are in, and as it turns out, you've all been selected for the fabulous grand prize: inclusion on the new Parts & Labor disc!
The band received hundreds of responses to their sonic questionnaire, and yes, they managed to work every last one of 'em into Receivers, their forthcoming fourth LP. P&L saved a few special spots for the stuff they liked the best in the ambient interludes/collages that sew together the album's eight tracks. Check out the new record's first single, "Nowheres Nigh", over in Forkcast via the link below.
Receivers is due October 21 in the States and November 3 in the UK from Jagjaguwar. Here's the appropriately pastiche-y cover:
The quartet is currently on the road in Europe, though that won't last. They're due in the States this weekend for both Siren Festival and Whartscape, and they'll tour this country after Receivers drops.
