Kooks Plan Huge Tour, Stir up Olympics Controversy
We've discussed the Kooks' love of touring before, and the Brighton band will Konk its way across the world this summer and fall. They recently added a ton of North American shows to their itinerary, which extends into December with shows in Europe and the UK.
The Kooks were also indirectly involved in a little Olympic controversy recently. According to a report in The Sun, British sailing duo Ben Rhodes and Steve Morrison were forced by the International Olympic Committee to change their vessel's name from Jackie Big Tits (a Kooks song title from Inside In/Inside Out) to something "more appropriate" prior to competing at this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing. They chose Little Miss Pipedream, after the Wombats song of the same name.
