The 2008 Offset Festival goes down August 30 and 31 just a half hour outside of London in the Hainault Forest Country Park, but it's set off from the hustle and bustle of the big city by more than just a few dozen kilometers.

Offset also boasts both a "beautiful forest location" and a treasure trove of post-punkers wilding out in the wilds of nature. O.G.s that they are, Wire and Gang of Four tower over the bill, but the rest of the largely Wire- and Gang of Four-inspired lineup is certainly worth making the trip for. That lineup also includes Prinzhorn Dance School, Black Devil Disco Club, Future of the Left, Young Knives, Metronomy, Johnny Foreigner, Radioclit, the Maccabees, Silje Nes, and, like, zillions more.
