Sadness! According to a representative from the Creative Artists Agency, the CAA rep quoted in Billboard.com's report made a mistake. "There are no plans for an upcoming Daft Punk tour, the information in the article is incorrect." Billboard.com has updated their story.

Sorry kids!

Holy scintillating space pyramids, Batman! A pair of costumed crime-fighters may soon be headed to a city near you, and, well, no dig on the dark knight, but these dudes will get the job done in well under two and a half hours. The crime they fight? That of immobile feet and crossed arms. Their weapons? Irresistible house grooves, lights galore, and a freaking pyramid. The name they go by? Daft Punk.

As noted in a recent Billboard.com report, France's favorite android sons are gearing up for a tour "in the near future," according to a Creative Artists Agency representative. We don't know quite when or where these visitations will occur, so keep your eyes peeled for the Daft signal. Or, better yet, just check the next news story on the subject.

While you wait, bide the time with repeat viewings of Daft Punk's Electroma, available now on DVD via Vice.

Finally, according to the aforementioned Billboard.com report, the horizon also holds tours from the likes of Depeche Mode, Green Day, Usher, Weezer, AC/DC, the Killers, and, shit yes, Journey. (We sure hope all this stuff is still true! Though the fact that Steve Perry is no longer in Journey tempers our excitement somewhat.)
