Ex-IATWTC Dude's Ruby Isle Get Tay Zonday on LP
Ruby Isle don't exactly trade in subtlety. Instead, the recently formed trio of ex-I Am the World Trade Center multi- instrumentalist (and Kindercore co-founder) Daniel Geller and pals Aaron Lemay and Mark Mallman seems to revel in cheese.
Take, for instance, the cover of their forthcoming debut LP, Night Shot, due September 16 from Kindercore. Or the fact that Geller and his former IATWTC bandmate Amy Dykes join forces anew for a take on Peter Gabriel's classic "Solsbury Hill". Or the album's title track, which sports vocals from Tay "It Has Been Some Time Since 'Chocolate Rain'" Zonday. You see the point. From a mile away.
But hey, who's got time for subtlety when there's dancing to be done? Expect plenty of that-- and plenty of everything else, in eye-popping DayGlo colors-- on the band's upcoming tour dates.
