Jose Gonzalez Reveals Short Round of U.S. Dates
José González has been running on the fumes of last year's In Our Nature LP for a while now, but considering that since then he's released a remix EP and multiple singles and toured practically nonstop, those fumes seem to keep him productive, so why stop now?
González's newest venture is a strange little U.S tour consisting of short residencies in Oakland and Brooklyn plus one-off dates in Costa Mesa, California, and Austin. Three of the Brooklyn shows come in December as part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music's "Red Hot + Rio" shows celebrating "the legacy of Brazil's Samba Soul movement," according to a press release. Also at these shows will be Bebel Gilberto, CeU, Curumin, Otto, and others.
These U.S. shows are in addition to all of the European festival dates González already has scheduled. His next show is tomorrow (August 9) in Gothenburg, Sweden at the Way Out West festival.
