With 176 drummers spread across two coastal hotspots, Boredoms' 88BoaDrum bonanza, presented by Nike Sportswear, succeeded in one-upping last year's 77BoaDrum spectacle in pretty much every way.
The Los Angeles edition kicked off at precisely 8:08 p.m. local time on August 8 (08/08/08!), with 88 drummers in all doing their drummy thing. At the eye of the storm, naturally: Eye himself and the rest of the Boredoms. And among those wrapped in this Boa's coils? Members of Modest Mouse, Man Man, Hole, High Places, Unwound, Oneida, Hella, Mika Miko, and more.
