U2 Reissue Live Red Things
U2 are more productive as a reissues act these days than as an actual band. Though a new album from Bono and co. is rumored to be due in November (and rumored to be titled No Line on the Horizon), the nostalgia tour continues with re-releases of live record Under a Blood Red Sky and concert film Live at Red Rocks.
Originally released in 1983, Under a Blood Red Sky features eight live recordings from U2's War tour. The reissue is remastered but otherwise without any extras. The reissue will be available on CD and 180-gram vinyl.
Live at Red Rocks was recorded at Morrison, Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 5, 1983. This is the concert film's first time on DVD, and it comes with five previously unreleased tunes, a commentary track from the director, and DVD-quality sound and picture upgrades.
Interscope/Island/UME will release Under a Blood Red Sky and Live at Red Rocks both separately and as a deluxe CD/DVD package on September 30 in the U.S. (September 29 in the UK).
