PJ Harvey, Tenacious D Play QOTSA Benefit Show

Underneath all the tough talk, Queens of the Stone Age are decent guys. This Saturday, August 16, the band will host a benefit concert celebrating the life of Eleven's Natasha Shneider. Shneider, who had toured with Queens of the Stone in the past, died of cancer earlier this summer. Proceeds from the show will help pay Shneider's outstanding medical bills.

The celebration concert takes place at Los Angeles' Henry Fonda Theater. Joining Queens of the Stone Age to "help them perform songs from the limits of the QOTSA catalog and beyond" (according to the band's website) will be PJ Harvey, Jack Black and Kyle Gass (aka Tenacious D), Alain Johannes (Shneider's husband and bandmate in Eleven), Matt Cameron (ex-Soundgarden/current Pearl Jam drummer), Brody Dalle (Homme's wife and former frontwoman for the Distillers), Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal), Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top), and Chris Goss.
