Bachmann, Chesnutt, OTC Members on Liz Durrett LP
Though she's known for her close ties with her musician-uncle Vic Chesnutt-- who produced her first couple LPs-- Outside Our Gates, Georgia-based songwriter Liz Durrett's forthcoming third album, was produced and arranged by another Southern songsmith of note: Eric Bachmann (Archers of Loaf/Crooked Fingers).
The disc also features guest work from members of Olivia Tremor Control and Ham 1, plus Brian Causey of Man or Astro-man?, and Amanda Kapousouz of Tin Cup Prophette. Oh, and Uncle Vic does make an appearance on the set as well. Man, all my uncle ever does for me is send e-mails telling me who not to vote for.
Anyhoo, Outside Our Gates is due September 9 from WARM Electronic Recordings.
Liz has a couple shows lined up, both in her home state of Georgia, in the next few weeks.
