Morrissey to Guest DJ on KCRW

As if answering Lead Reporter Paul Thompson's call for a balm to balance out all that label drama, Morrissey has turned up in Pitchfork News for the second time in two days. And this time, it's good news: an appearance on the KCRW show "Morning Becomes Eclectic".

Unlike most of the show's musical guests, Morrissey didn't perform. Instead, he spoke with host Nic Harcourt and shared some of his favorite songs as a guest DJ. Those songs come from Buzzcocks, the New York Dolls, Sparks, Cockney Rejects, Mr. Bloe, Jobriath, Noël Coward, and the Courteeners.

While Morrissey's appearance as a guest DJ on "Morning Becomes Eclectic" has already been recorded, it has not yet aired. That will happen via KCRW and its website on August 29 at 11:05 a.m. Pacific Time.
