"From a squat to the mayor's room, from music venue to museum," bands numbering in the hundreds will set up and rock out at Tilburg, Netherlands' ZXZW Festival, going down in every nook and cranny of the city September 14-21.

And, with damn near every last square inch of the city littered with preamps and patch cords, that can only mean one thing: a killer lineup. Making their way to Tilburg this year are the likes of Wire, Cadence Weapon, Torche, Ponytail, Jeremy Jay, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Ladyhawk, Bjorn Torske, Shining, Castanets, the Sun Ra Arkestra, Tom Brosseau, Pre, David Karsten Daniels, Otto Von Schirach, Religious Knives, Nick Castro & the Young Elders, Pelican, Our Brother the Native, Schlammpeitziger, Watain, and far too many others to count. Not to mention find.

There's also fun activities like the Eurovision Noise Contest (in which noise acts from different European countries compete for the title of the Best European Noise Act of 2008), Heavy Metal Bowling (in which you bowl while listening to heavy metal), and an exhibition of Peter Beste's True Norwegian Black Metal photos.
