Strokes' Hammond Jr. Designs Suits, Opens for Coldplay

Attention, menfolk! Albert Hammond, Jr. doesn't think too much of your big boy clothes. And he's here to help. Hammond recently told New York Magazine [via NME.com], "A lot of people hate suits, because when they fit terribly, they feel strange inside, like they're going to a bar mitzvah and they're 30." So according to New York, Hammond and designer Ilaria Urbinati have jointly worked up a series of men's suits soon to be for sale at Confederacy, the Los Angeles store Urbinati co-owns with "That 70's Show" star Danny Masterson.
"They're for the person who needs his one suit for a wedding," Hammond told New York. "He'd rather get something like this than go to Men's Wearhouse, pay the same amount, and look like an out-of-date parent." As a dude in possession of exactly one street-ready two-piece, this reporter can confirm that this is in fact an appealing notion.
Hammond will have plenty of opportunities to show off his dapper duds when he opens for Coldplay in Europe this fall. See how far a nice suit can take you in this workaday world?
