The tiny village of Moi, Norway saw a significant temporary population increase as the Kamerad og Spelemann festival-- put together by Moi-born Serena-Maneesh frontman Emil Nikolaisen-- took over a NorDan window factory building in the town on Saturday, August 23.

Topping the fest bill were Nikolaisen's pal Sufjan Stevens and a beefed-up version of Serena-Maneesh that included Stevens. Among the other performers: a Ladybug Transistor/Loch Ness Mouse collaboration known as the Loch Ness Transistor, Danielson associate Wovenhand (but no Danielson), Norwegian noise-makers Noxagt, a Tønes/I Was a King linkup (also featuring Nikolaisen), singer/songwriter Ingrid Olava, and Emil's chart-crashing sister Elvira Nikolaisen.

Oh, and lest you question the man's sense of humor, Sufjan was billed as "Steve Stevens & the Happy Hippos". LOLz
