First Six Creedence Clearwater Revival Albums Reissued
Creedence Clearwater Revival started soundtracking bad decisions 40 years ago with the 1968 release of their self-titled debut.
In commemoration of the band's 40th anniversary, they will release remastered and expanded editions of that album and the five that immediately followed it: Bayou Country, Green River, Willy and the Poor Boys, Cosmo's Factory, and Pendulum.
Fantasy Records originally released all six albums in an astonishing three-year period from 1968 to 1970, and Fantasy will release the reissues on September 30. In addition to the original albums, each of these 40th anniversary editions features bonus tracks taken from B-sides and previously unreleased studio and live material, including a 1970 session with Booker T. & the MG's.
Liner notes for these reissues come from rock writers Robert Christgau, Ben Fong-Torres, Dave Marsh, Joel Selvin, and Ed Ward.
