Giving Grinderman's "No Pussy Blues" (Pitchfork's 11th favorite song of 2007) the remix treatment is an ironic proposition. "After all," Nick Cave and co. seem to be saying, "what better place for a song about not getting laid than the dance floor?"

Never one to shy away from a joke, Cave has indeed turned the reins of "No Pussy Blues" over to five remixers: Adam Freeland, Midfield General, T. Raumschmiere, G.e.R.M., and Electronic Periodic. There are currently no release plans for the remixes, but the ones by Adam Freeland and G.e.R.M. can be heard at Grinderman's MySpace.

Grinderman have two more festival dates to play before they hit the studio to write a second album. Cave's Bad Seeds have shows supporting their new album, Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!, starting in September. They've also added UK dates to their itinerary since our last report.
