Low Celebrate the Holidays Early With Shows, New 7"
Seasons greetings in November? Does that mean double presents? You'll wanna take that up with Low, who've made a list of their upcoming tour dates that includes a trio of UK "Holiday Concerts" smack dab in the middle of November.
Hell, if the Rockettes can start their seasonal high steppin' as early as November 7, surely Low can conjure the yuletide spirit a little prematurely too, no? And they've got good reason to celebrate, with a brand new holiday 7", due November 4 in the U.S. and the day before in the UK and mainland Europe via Sub Pop. This one backs "Santa's Coming Over" with a cover of reggae track "The Coming of Jah" (!), and will be available digitally as well.
But don't let those visions of sugarplums dance just yet in that noggin of yours: there are Low dates aplenty before the pre-Noel festivities, with a run of shows this month that includes several of those "An Evening With Low" happenings.
Low singer/guitarist Alan Sparhawk's Retribution Gospel Choir, too, have a bunch of dates on the way, primarily opening for Micah P. Hinson.
