Given Seattle's reputation for precipitation, it's nice to know the Pacific Northwest city gets a new Bumbershoot (that's fancyspeak for "umbrella") each and every year. This year was no different, with the 2008 edition of the sprawling fest taking over various Seattle Center venues over Labor Day Weekend.

Gathered under Bumbershoot's big umbrella ('ella, 'ella, eh eh eh) on the fest's final day, September 1, we had the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, Battles, Dan Deacon, Superchunk, Del the Funky Homosapien, Human Giant, Monotonix, and more.

That'll do it for our Bumbershoot coverage. Scroll on for live shots and behind-the-scenes portraits of the aforementioned folks and others, and click here and here for Saturday and Sunday shots.
