Future of the Left Prep Live Album, Hit the Road

In honor of recently deceased voice-over king Don LaFontaine, I have written the first part of this story imagining it spoken in a movie trailer:

In a world where the future is all that's left, it's up to one band of unwieldy Welshmen to go on a journey they've never attempted before: a U.S. tour. They'll reunite with old tourmates Against Me!, conquer awkwardness when they meet new tourmates Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, and dish out jams all the while from their debut album, Curses. From the people who brought you Mclusky and Jarcrew, it's: Future...of the Left.

In other, less dramatically presented news, Future of the Left have put together a limited edition (500 copies) live album that they'll be selling at these U.S. dates and a run of UK shows in November. Entitled Last Night I Saved Her From Vampires, the disc includes four previously unreleased FOTL offerings among its 19 tracks: "Drink Nike", "Distant Jabs at a Soul", "V.D.F.A.", and "Cloak the Dagger".

And speaking of new Future of the Left jams, you can download one called "The Hope That House Built" via the link below. The track is set to appear on Future of the Left's sophomore studio album, due for release at some point next year via 4AD, the band's new label following April's Beggar's Group shakeup.
