St. Etienne, Edwyn Collins, Doves Play Heavenly B-Day

A kid turns 18 in the U.S., and he/she buys cigarettes, porn, and lotto tickets. A label turns 18 in the UK, and it gets Saint Etienne, Edwyn Collins, Doves, and Chemical Brothers to play a weekend festival in celebration. As enticing as some of those Stateside perks are, we've got to say the label deal sounds quite a bit more appealing. The imprint in question is Heavenly Recordings, and the festival is called Forever Heavenly.

From September 12-14, Forever Heavenly will overtake various venues at London's Southbank Centre with sets by Saint Etienne, Edwyn Collins (of Orange Juice and solo fame), Chemical Brothers, Doves, Nada Surf (playing Let Go in its entirety), Beth Orton (playing Trailer Park in its entirety), Manic Street Preachers, the Magic Numbers, the Little Ones, Ed Harcourt, 22-20s, and Dot Allison, among others. Happy birthday, Heavenly!
