The eclectic Ekko Festival returned to Bergen, Norway on September 5 and 6, with Annie, Black Dice, Booka Shade, A Certain Ratio, Free Blood, the Whitest Boy Alive, Planningtorock, and more setting various stages and dancefloors at USF Verftet ablaze.

Spirits were sunken somewhat shortly after the fest, however, when a very real blaze destroyed a rehearsal complex housing equipment belonging to a bunch of bands in the Bergen scene. Fortunately no one was injured in the fire, and there's already talk of Norway's Minister of Culture intervening to provide financial assistance. Hopefully folks can take a cue from an early Annie single here: "I Will Get On".
