The Aliens Explore Luna on Sophomore Album, Tour

Scottish psych-poppers (and former Beta Banders) the Aliens keep their feet on the ground but still reach for the stars on their follow-up to 2007's Astronomy for Dogs. This time out, they've fixed their gaze on Luna, due in the UK September 29 via the band's own Pet Rock Records. U.S. release details are in the works now, as the band has parted ways with EMI, the parent company to its onetime U.S. label Astralwerks.

While we're on the subject of dudes who used to be in the Beta Band with new albums out, the debut LP from Steve Mason's Black Affair, Pleasure Pressure Point, is out now. Alas, that is really the title. Both the Aliens and Black Affair have tour dates on the way.
