Robert Smith Reveals Cure LP Details, Bitches at iTunes
The Cure have unveiled even more details about their triskaidekaphilic new album, 4:13 Dream. The record now has a tracklist and release dates on Suretone/Geffen. Instead of October 13, as the band previously (yet tentatively) claimed, those release dates are October 28 in the U.S. and October 27 in the UK.
Cure frontman Robert Smith also hinted at 4:13 Dream's follow-up in a news update on the band's website: "Taking bets now against 'dark album' companion piece out before my birthday 2009... Ha! Or not so ha!" (His birthday is April 21, sez Wikipedia.)
In another website update, Smith had some choice words for the UK iTunes store regarding an inflated price for the emo-star-studded Hypnagogic States EP. "WHY IS IT SO INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO GET ANYTHING DONE RIGHT?" he asks his record company. It's a pretty entertaining read.
Smith's full all-caps rant is after the jump, along with 4:13 Dream's tracklist.
