Barbara Morgenstern Reveals New Album, Tours U.S.
BM, electronic music-maker Barbara Morgenstern's full-length follow-up to 2006's well-received The Grass Is Always Greener, is due November 18 from Monika Enterprise.
For BM, Morgenstern employed a brand new piano-- this one's a Bechstein grand-- plus the string arrangements of Antony and the Johnsons cellist Julia Kent. The album also features the results of a mostly-by-post collaboration with the legendary Robert Wyatt on "Camouflage". We will refrain from commenting on the artwork.
Morgenstern has a brief but very welcome U.S. tour lined up over the next several weeks, after which she'll head to Europe for a smattering of dates throughout the fall.
