Fool's Gold Releases Remix Compilation, Hits the Road
Brooklyn dance-rap label Fool's Gold has partnered with boxy car company Scion for a two-disc compilation called Scion CD Sampler Volume 22: Fool's Gold Remixed.
The first disc of the comp, Fool's Gold Remixed, features a collection of Fool's Gold joints from the likes of Kid Sister and A-Trak remixed by Chromeo, DJ Spinna, and others. The second disc, 24 Karat Hits, is a mix of the label's biggest tracks from the past year blended by label co-founder Nick Catchdubs.
The remixes from Scion CD Sampler Etc. Etc. will hit digital retailers on October 14. The comp will be available physically for free at all Scion events, plus car dealerships and retail stores.
Speaking of Scion events, the company is sponsoring a little Fool's Gold tour featuring Nick Catchdubs, Trackademicks, Treasure Fingers, and others trading off DJ duties on various dates. Tickets to these free shows can be obtained by RSVP-ing here.
Scion is also sponsoring Fool's Gold's CMJ showcase this year. That show will take place October 23 at Webster Hall and feature Kid Sister, A-Trak, and Flosstradamus, among others.
Meanwhile, A-Trak, the other Fool's Gold co-founder, has quite a few tour dates of his own, including shows with Santogold and Boys Noize.
