Austin City Limits Music Festival Kicks Off Today
It's either the last gasp of the summer festival season or the first taste of fall festivities. But whether you choose to pack sunscreen or a sweater (we'd suggest the former), there's no denying the arrival of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Starting today (September 26) in a matter of hours and continuing through Sunday (September 28), a swarm of great bands will descend upon Zilker Park in Austin, Texas to sting audiences with the sweet strains of their music.
As a reminder, here's a little taste of that lineup:
Band of Horses, David Byrne, Beck, Jenny Lewis, Iron & Wine, Hot Chip, N.E.R.D., Jamie Lidell, Neko Case, Fleet Foxes, Okkervil River, Gnarls Barkley, Vampire Weekend, Spiritualized, M. Ward, Foo Fighters, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, the Raconteurs, the Black Keys, Stars, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Man Man, the Swell Season, the Mars Volta, John Fogerty, Gillian Welch, Del the Funky Homosapien, Roky Erickson, CSS, Drive-By Truckers, Manu Chao, José Gonzaléz, Against Me!, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Yeasayer, Erykah Badu, Mates of State, and the Kills.
Check out the schedule here.
Just like last year, the AT&T blue room will webcast the festival live for the benefit of those who can't make it out. The webcast will appear at attblueroom.com/music, so bookmark accordingly.
