Veteran groove-masons Stereolab continued their North American tour Saturday night with a stop at Athens, Georgia's 40 Watt Club. The gig was a particularly special occasion for opening act Atlas Sound, whose Bradford Cox-- a native of Athens who fancies himself a pretty huge Stereolab fan-- joined his heroes on guitar for the final song of the evening.
Stereolab and Atlas Sound continue their travels together for the next week, after which Stereolab head out with a new cadre of openers. The London act has also added a tour of the UK and mainland Europe since our last report.
