The Hold Steady Reveal Cause of UK Tour Cancellation

The Hold Steady have revealed that the reason they had to cancel their UK tour dates is because guitarist Tad Kubler is in the hospital with pancreatitis, according to a report from Uncut confirmed by the band's publicist.

According to our secret government source, "Pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreas," and "acute pancreatitis usually resolves in a few days" with a hospital treatment of "intravenous fluids, antibiotics, and medication to relieve pain."

All around, it sounds sucky and nowhere near as cool as playing shows in a foreign country with your rock band. Get well soon, Tad.

A publicity statement says that the Hold Steady are  "currently rescheduling the tour and hope to have the new dates fixed in shortly."
