New York City is getting yet another musicians-and-comedians-for-Obama benefit called "Barack Rock". This show will take place October 7 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

Barack Rock will feature sets from Andrew Bird, Les Savy Fav (playing an "acoustic spectacular"), Eugene Mirman, the Fiery Furnaces, Heather Lawless, Alina Simone, Martin Bisi, Lizz Winstead, and others. "Special Secret Musical Guests" are also promised. (Franz Ferdinand are listed as one of Barack Rock's Top Friends on MySpace, and they're scheduled to play the Music Hall of Williamsburg the next day... just sayin'.)

In addition to the music and comedy, the benefit will offer folks the chance to register to vote, watch that night's presidential debate, and sign up for volunteer efforts.

All proceeds from Barack Rock will go the Obama-Biden campaign.
