Nine Inch Nails Skill Game Headed to iPhone

STEP RIGHT UP!! TAP!! TAP!! UH, TAP SOME MORE. That's right: the popular Tap Tap Revenge iPhone game is about to get a Nine Inch Nails makeover, according to a Billboard.biz report and a note from Trent Reznor on the NIN website.
Tap Tap Revenge bills itself as "a music game in the tradition of Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution that puts your rhythmic skills to the test in all-new ways," and pretty much all of those new ways involve tapping on the screen of your iPhone.
Expect to be tapping with a whole new intensity after game-makers Tapulous put the specially designed NIN version of Tap Tap Revenge for sale in the iPhone App Store later this month. The game will reportedly feature 16 tracks culled from NIN's latest, The Slip, and this past spring's massive instrumental affair, Ghosts I-IV. The bad news: no "March of the Pigs". The good news: you'll still have a functioning iPhone come November.
As for Trent and co., they begin a brief tour of South America tomorrow (recently made brief-er by some cancellations), and they'll kick off another North American jaunt chock full of opening acts worth coming early for on October 18 in Mexico City.
