Deerhunter Change Microcastle Cover Again
That right there is the third (or maybe fourth?)-- and, we're assured, final-- cover for both the European CD and the U.S. CD release of Deerhunter's forthcoming album Microcastle. But for the skull-eye, it could been a Smiths or Belle and Sebastian sleeve, right down to the salmon hue.
Microcastle is out now digitally but due physically October 27 in Europe from 4AD and the next day in the States from Kranky. The Kranky vinyl edition of the disc will keep the cover from this story. We aren't exactly sure about the 4AD vinyl version, though.
Got all that?
In addition, it has been confirmed that both the U.S. and UK releases of Microcastle will include the bonus disc Weird Era Cont., which you might be quite familiar with by now. The CD will be a 2XCD set and the vinyl will also include a CD. Tracklist below.
Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox's Atlas Sound has a few more dates with Stereolab to attend to, and come Halloween, Deerhunter will pick up with Times New Viking and a rotating cast of characters for a lengthy fall tour.
