There's only so much touring a band can take, and rootsy North Carolina trio Bowerbirds have reached their breaking point. Citing exhaustion following a big European jaunt, they have canceled all but two of their upcoming fall shows. That includes all of their previously reported dates opening for Calexico. Bummer. Get some rest, ya birds!

The first of the two shows Bowerbirds didn't cancel is October 11 in Norfolk, Virginia. The other is in Madison, Georgia on December 13.
