Beck isn't letting any Modern Guilt about the current economic crisis get him down. Nope, he's out there right now, creating jobs for venue employees, hatmakers, and people who manufacture groovy lighting displays on his current North American tour with MGMT. At his show last night at NYC's United Palace, Beck was even creating jobs for a film crew-- shooting on actual film stock, no less. Can't wait to see where the footage winds up.

That tour wraps up for Mr. Hansen this week, but the MGMT gang will keep on living the sordid jetsetting lifestyle they describe in "Time to Pretend" well into December. One job they could certainly stand to create: designer of a website that isn't annoying as all get out.

In other Beck news, the guy will appear on Sirius satellite radio station Left of Center this weekend to perform some of his own material and spin some of his favorite records [via NME.com].
