Slightly ironic acoustic cover songs: they're not just for that wacky dude at the open mic night in your dorm lounge anymore! In fact, BBC Radio 1's two CD Live Lounge Volume 3 monster-- due October 20 overseas from Sony BMG-- is chock full of the things, plus unplugged takes on some of the bigger hits of the last few years taken from Jo Whiley's long-running program.

From Dizzee Rascal doing the Ting Tings to Foo Fighters knocking around the Arcade Fire to offerings from R.E.M., Goldfrapp Lupe Fiasco, Bat for Lashes, Elbow, Rihanna, the Wombats, and more, it's quite a mix-- and the decided lack of any Guster material certainly puts it over Dormy Joe up there.
