Casiotone for the Painfully Alone Tours, Takes Requests
Any particular jerker of tears you'd like to hear Owen Ashworth pull out on the forthcoming Casiotone for the Painfully Alone tour? C'mon, don't be bashful! Ashworth would like it very much if you'd shoot him an email right here with the name of the city in which you'll be attending his show and the word "request" in the subject line, and your selection in the body. Ooh! Ooh! Play "Happy Mother's Day"!
"This," Ashworth notes in a message on his website, "will give me a chance to practice the requested song a couple of times first so I don't forget the words or anything." You mean you don't know all those lyrics by heart? Some Casiotone fan you are, guy from Casiotone.
That tour kicks off a little later this week in Medford, Massachusetts, and finds Mr. Ashworth meeting up with Pants Yell! and No Kids before it's all said and done. There's also talk of a "Rust Belt tour" a little later in November with Concern. Oh, and Tomlab recently issued the CD/download edition of the Town Topic EP, Ashworth's soundtrack to Laurel Nakadate's Stay the Same Never Change film, which was originally issued on a pair of 7"s back in the spring.
