It's all (officially) happening: Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy is totally set to come out next month, and we've got all the proper confirmation and everything. The title track hit radio this week, and the album itself-- as a CD, vinyl LP with download, or download à la carte-- is due from Black Frog/Geffen November 23 exclusively at Best Buy in the U.S. and November 24 wherever hard rock records are sold in the UK. That sorta incongruous cover with the bike and the basket seems to still stand, but, hey, you're probably gonna rip the packaging to shreds to get what's inside once it actually arrives anyway.

In other GN'R goings-on, Kevin "Skwerl" Cogill of Antiquiet-- who famously leaked those pre-release Democracy tunes and ran afoul of the law as a result-- entered a plea of not guilty in federal court earlier this week on charges that he violated copyright law. There's no date yet set for the trial, but Mr. Skwerl does potentially face three years in prison if convicted of the copyright charge, and five years if it's found that he posted the songs for "commercial gain" [Reuters, via Idolator].

Finally, for those wondering, it appears we will be getting our free Dr. Peppers after all [via Idolator].
