Common Reveals Mind Control Details, Plans Next LP
Common's repeatedly delayed, recently renamed new album, Universal Mind Control, finally has a tracklist and a release date. The album is scheduled to come out December 9 via Geffen.
Although early reports indicated Santogold would appear on the album, a Billboard.com story today notes Santi's not on Universal Mind Control after all. Judging from the Billboard.com tracklist, Neptunes pals Chester French are absent as well, thank goodness. Kanye, Cee-Lo, and Pharrell all make guest appearances, however, and production is split between contributions from the Neptunes and OutKast producer Mr. DJ.
According to an MTV.com report, Common is already making plans for his next sure-to-be-delayed album: The Believer.
