Of Montreal Put M.I.A. Cover, New Song on 7"
HEARTFAST, the good people behind that Tunde Adebimpe solo 7" picture/DVD deal, have another nifty audiovisual artifact coming at us even sooner. On November 25, the label will issue a new vinyl single from Of Montreal.
This 7" features a different arrangement of the Of Montreal cover of Parvati Khan-indebted M.I.A. track "Jimmy" that hit Forkcast back in January, as well as an exclusive new track titled "Middle Class Ghetto". Like the Tunde single, this one comes with slick artwork (pictured above and below) and a bonus DVD. Of Montreal are calling theirs "Cause We Were Virgins to Your Kisses" and have packed it with video footage from their 2007 tour. All in all, should make for a nice addition to your ever-growing collection of Of Montreal swag.
In the world of live Of Montreal, the band's totally bonkers Skeletal Lamping tour continues in Atlanta on November 8. Have we mentioned their live thing is totally cracked out to the max? Yeah, just see it already.
