Postmarks Address Bowie, Cure, JAMC on Covers LP

Just as the wintertime blues prepare to descend, here come the Postmarks to put some dimples back on our faces. The twee-leaning Miami outfit had been quietly issuing MP3 covers of numerically-inclined famous tunes via eMusic since January, and now they've bundled them all into one convenient package.

By-the-Numbers arrives November 11 thanks to Unfiltered, and includes 12 Postmarks renditions of jams composed and/or famously performed by the likes of David Bowie, the Cure, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Blondie, the Ramones, Ride, and Nancy Sinatra, plus even the Pointer Sisters' "Pinball Number Count" ditty from "Sesame Street". The cute lil' concept linking these particular covers should become abundantly clear with one look at the tracklist below, which also includes the original artist/most famous interpreter in brackets.

Cover fiends that they are, the Postmarks recently took Ministry's "(Everyday Is) Halloween" for a stroll as well. Grab that MP3 right here.

All said, the Postmarks should have no shortage of material when they play their lone scheduled live date, November 15 at Orlando's Social as part of the ANTI*POP Festival.
