Silver Apples Teams With Grails for Tour
This touring thing is becoming a habit for Silver Apples: Simeon Coxe's enduring psych outfit has another round of shows starting November 13 in Memphis. The first batch of these dates is with Portland quartet Grails, who are supporting their recently released Doomsdayer's Holiday. Grails also have a handful of headlining shows.
The second leg of Silver Apples' tour is in Australia, split between shows with Spiritualized and appearances at each of the three ATP Australia events.
Of particular note is Silver Apples' December 2 gig at the Kitchen in NYC, which will find Coxe recreating the band's marathon jam that followed immediately in the wake of Neil Armstrong landing on the moon back in 1969. As the Apples' website proclaims, "It is said many babies were conceived in the bushes that night!"
