Dante DeCaro Not Leaving Wolf Parade

"The band was enthusiastic and animated and even stopped to pepper the crowd with pithy banter," Keegan Hamilton of St. Louis' Riverfront Times A to Z music blog writes of Saturday evening's Wolf Parade show at the city's Gargoyle Club.
Pithy banter like this: the announcement that Dante DeCaro, the band's guitarist, would be leaving the group after the show was complete. DeCaro, who joined the band shortly after leaving Hot Hot Heat in the wake of their 2005 effort Elevator, also puts in time as the frontman of Johnny and the Moon.
Yesterday and today, the internet has been abuzz with this rumor. However, according to Wolf Parade's label Sub Pop, it was just a joke. DeCaro is still in the band.
Wolf Parade play again tonight at Madison, Wisconsin's Majestic Theater, with quite a few more dates in the States and in Europe over the next month.
