Three Albums Coming From Outkast Camp in 2009?

Oh, Outkast. How we pine for the days when you were releasing records regularly as a duo, with nary a negative rumor in earshot. But these days are all about Andre 3000 movies and guest verses and Big Boi's ballet, (non-)beef with Killer Mike, and his (eventually!) forthcoming solo album, Sir Luscious Left Foot ... Son of Chico Dusty.

As might have been expected, Big Boi's album release has been pushed to next year, but if a new interview with Big Boi is any indication, the record might just be the first drop in a downpour of new Outkast releases planned for 2009.

"Me and 'Dre were on the conference call [recently]," Big Boi told MTV.com. "He's working on his album; my album is done. We're gonna wait until the top of the year-- January or February-- to put it out. Then 'Dre is gonna come hit y'all, and [then] we're gonna do the Outkast album. So y'all gonna get three records from the 'Kast next year."

Here's hoping.

Right now, the only other news on the Outkast front is that Big Boi will appear on an episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" that airs on November 25, according to MTV.com. Big Boi's character is a rapper named Gots Money ("Law & Order" gots jokes!) who gets (gots?) involved in an animal-smuggling ring. When authorities discover this, Gots Money turns informant and agrees to work undercover for the cops.

Meanwhile, Andre Benjamin has been keeping busy with his fashion line Benjamin Bixby, which hit stores this season.
