Timbaland Adds Film to Production Credits

Because producing half of the records being produced in this wild world of ours simply isn't enough for some exceptionally talented people, Timbaland has set his sights on the world of Tinseltown.

Tim will executive produce a film called Vinyl, which Billboard.com reports is "the story of five young women facing life-altering decisions about their relationships with members of a rock band." Tim's Mosley Media group has joined up with Duly Noted Inc. to produce the film, with Effie T. Brown of Duly Noted, Marcus Spence, and Tim's wife Monique Idlett-Mosley serving as the producers proper.

Vinyl, from writer/director Richard Zelniker, is due to begin shooting in the spring, and this being a Timbaland project, the action will be interrupted every ten seconds or so by both crazy laser sounds and Tim muttering "ehp, ehp, ehp." It's not the first time Tim's donned the executive producer hat, either; according to IMDb, he was one of many behind 2001's 30 Years to Life. Also from Billboard.com, this: "the pair plans to promote the film with behind-the-scenes content designed for mobile devices." GUHHHHHHH.

Timbaland's reportedly been exhausting his contacts list for the sequel to last spring's grab-baggy Shock Value, though firm details on that one have yet to emerge.
