With any lingering wounds from their stint with Dischord punkers Black Eyes healing nicely, Daniel Martin-McCormick and Jacob Long-- along with drummer Damon Palermo-- have formed the shiny new Mi Ami, who've signed on with Chicago's new-band-happy Quarterstick imprint. Between this and Glasvegas, are place-name puns the new wolf/crystal?

While you ponder that, make some room on your shelf for Mi Ami's first Quarterstick single, "Echononecho", due January 27 in digital and 12" formats. The Watersports full-length follows on February 17.

You'll be able to catch Mi Ami on the road in full force next year, though it would appear they're laying fairly low through the rest of this one.
