M.I.A.'s New Label to Release Slumdog Soundtrack

It turns out M.I.A.'s involvement with the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack is heavier than previously reported. In addition to her work with composer A.R. Rahman on the new tune "O... Saya" (which opens the film) and the appearance of "Paper Planes" in both its original and DFA-remixed forms on the soundtrack, M.I.A.'s new Interscope imprint N.E.E.T. will handle the soundtrack's release.
N.E.E.T./Interscope will release Slumdog Millionaire Music From the Motion Picture digitally on November 25, with a physical release following on December 23. The movie is in theaters now.
M.I.A. talked about signing Baltimore's Rye Rye to N.E.E.T. in her recent interview with Pitchfork.tv.
