Animal Collective, Panda Bear, Suicide Do ATP NY

From "Unfuckingbelievable" to, golly, pretty damn impressive already: the good people behind All Tomorrow's Parties (and, full disclosure, our partners for the first night of the past few Pitchfork Music Festivals) have revealed the first batch of performers for the previously discussed second edition of their wildly successful ATP New York event.

Ready for this? Okay, here we go: Friday's Don't Look Back and comedy festivities will include Suicide doing their first self-titled album (the 1977 one with the blood on the cover), Dirty Three doing 1998 opus Ocean Songs, and David Cross doing funny things. Saturday's ATP-curated portion of the proceedings, meanwhile, will feature the likes of Animal Collective and Panda Bear, plus Atlas Sound and Antipop Consortium.

Plenty more performers are expected for all three days, including Sunday, during which festgoers will be treated to acts hand-picked by another celebrity-band curator (à la My Bloody Valentine this year). The identity of 2009's celeb-band remains a secret as of yet.

But hey, here's a rather important thing to note: the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday above aren't the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday you thought they were! Nope, they are a different Friday, Saturday, and Sunday than previously announced. Why, which Friday, Saturday, and Sunday you may ask? The Friday, Saturday, and Sunday spanning the days of September 11-13.

I repeat, ATP New York 2009 is happening from September 11-13, not September 4-6. But don't worry: it's still going down at charmingly decrepit Kutshers Country Club in Monticello, New York.
