Hold Steady's Franz Nicolay Plots January Tour
Major General that he is, Hold Steady keyboardist and natural born star Franz Nicolay will lead the charge around the States in January. It's quite a little whirlwind tour Nicolay has crafted in support of his solo debut, particularly when you consider that the Hold Steady are on the road throughout December and February. But you don't achieve the rank of general by being a major wuss, you know?
Franz's Major General is due from Fistolo January 13, while the Hold Steady are due in Sheffield, England Sunday night. Note that the Counting Crows' European tour, which the Hold Steady were to open a few dates, has been back to May, so that somewhat unlikely pairing is off, for the time being anyway.
